Services and Fees

Rainier College Counseling and Cossey Consulting Services are  pleased to offer both comprehensive and hourly packages to assist high school students in planning, selecting, and applying to colleges. These services can also be used to assist transfer students and those who are interested in other post-high school options including gap year, vocational and work programs. Below are the services we provide; please click on the service to read the description.

Comprehensive Package (Grades 9 through 12)
Designed for the student and family who would like assistance with the entire college planning, selection, application, and financial aid process.  This service includes (but is not limited to):

• Includes “Getting Started” information
• Meet on a regular basis to discuss student’s college planning process through high school graduation
• Review educational records, career assessments, and parent and student questionnaires
• Work with student to identify the criteria that are most important in their college search
• Research, prepare and present college list based on those criteria
• Teach effective ways to research and learn about colleges
• Discuss and help students plan for college testing and test preparation
• Prepare students to make effective college visits and have successful interviews
• Help students to develop a personalized college resume
• Brainstorm college essays topics with the student and review essay drafts
• Discuss the financial aid process, scholarships and merit aid
• Meet with students to discuss college decisions and transition to college
• Be a good resource for both students and parents
• Each student receives a College Notebook and monthly e-newsletters

Rainier College Counseling also offers workshops and presentations for schools, youth groups, PTSAs, Rotary Clubs, and many other organizations. Topics vary from college planning to admissions to topics of your choice. Call for information and to schedule a presentation!
