Services and Fees

Rainier College Counseling and Cossey Consulting Services are  pleased to offer both comprehensive and hourly packages to assist high school students in planning, selecting, and applying to colleges. These services can also be used to assist transfer students and those who are interested in other post-high school options including gap year, vocational and work programs. Below are the services we provide; please click on the service to read the description.

Hourly Services, Two-Hour Minimum (Grades 11, 12 and Transfer Students)
This service is designed to provide customized service to meet each student’s goals through meetings, phone calls, emails and college or educational research.  Services can include but are not limited to:

• Meetings to discuss college information and planning
• Review of existing college list  (If students want a new list of colleges, the College List service is more appropriate)
• Assistance with planning successful and enjoyablecollege visits
• Preparation for on and off-campus interviews
• Information about college testing and test preparation
• Assistance with essay “brainstorming” and review of essay drafts
• Overview of financial aid process with explanation of terms, deadlines, forms, scholarship information, and resources
• Information, resources and support for the student with learning differences who is interested in attending college or another post-secondary option
• Specialized assistance for students who are interested in transferring from one college to another
• Information about other post-high school plans including gap years, community college, apprenticeship programs, volunteer opportunities, summer options and more!
• Plus other consultations according to the needs and interests of the student

Rainier College Counseling also offers workshops and presentations for schools, youth groups, PTSAs, Rotary Clubs, and many other organizations. Topics vary from college planning to admissions to topics of your choice. Call for information and to schedule a presentation!
